Delphinium House is a custom designed, new craftsman style home in Peaceful Valley. The Design Review Board monitors the design of all new homes in Coupeville, and the desire and standards to which they are held, is that they reflect a style which compliments the wonderful historic Craftsman, Victorian and Edwardian landmark homes of "old town."

Built by Cascade Custom Homes in 2003, Delphinium House a charming light filled "home," Cairn Cottage and surrounding gardens, are loving works in progress. Plants that have history, and a kitchen garden that feeds the table, and supplies garnishes. The large porch is for your pleasure. The porch overlooks the garden, and has a sweeping view of Penn Cove, and the quaint waterfront of Coupeville.

Below the house and between the town is a large open park area where blackberries can be gathered, children play and kites are flown.

Enjoy the creature comfort of home away from home.  Your second floor suite comprises of a large sunny bedroom, en suite bathroom, and breakfast room with view dormer windows, that will carry to you the morning bird songs, and the evening frog chorus. If it rains, pull the duvet over your head in the knowledge that breakfast is waiting for you in the refrigerator in your own breakfast room, and you are on your own schedule.

The rooms are delightful with cathedral ceilings, and decorated with antique English pine furniture, and a French/Sonoma style dining décor. Or is it pacific rim? You don't really care. It is all very easy on the eye, comfortable and interesting. The back friendly queen sized bed has king feather pillows, luxurious duvet, and fine cotton linens. A large well lit closet, and ironing board will take care of clothing, personal grooming care in the bathroom, cotton bathrobes, a small interesting library, games, television, and VCR’s will all add to your feeling of comfort, and convenience.

Your breakfast room is furnished with a large, fully-stocked sideboard and a breakfast table. A microwave, toaster, toaster oven and refrigerator. Hot water is available at all times for tea, and coffee is freshly brewed for you and left by the fairies. Imagine opening up your refrigerator and viewing your options. Or by prior arrangement, view the Delphinium House Breakfast Menu on line and plan a cooked or continental breakfast for yourselves. This lavish affair is a mixture of continental, decadent gourmet, or a healthy option. Food is organic and local whenever possible.

There is a cozy internet corner for work that can't be left at home!
